The development of Allomyrina dichotoma goes through four stages: fertilized egg, larva, pupa and adult. The two-pronged rhinoceros golden turtle sleeps in the daytime and rises at night. It starts to move at dusk and has phototaxis. The male is more aggressive. When fighting, he will first shake his forehead up and down, contract his abdomen and make a "squeak" sound to demonstrate. The larvae mostly feed on humus formed by rotten wood; Adults feed on the tender branches of plants such as elms, mulberry and figs and the flowers of melons. The feeding method is highly specialized. First, the bark is cut with a shovel like upper lip, and then the sap is licked with a brush like tongue. It is distributed in China, the Korean Peninsula, Japan, Malaysia and Laos.

The body length is 44-54 mm, and the width is 27-29 mm. It is all black or dark brown. The male head has a forked thick and long horn-like protrusion, and the center of the front chest and back plate has a very strong forward and forked horn-like protrusion.
